Pennsylvania Mandated Reporters and Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training
In Pennsylvania, mandated reporters are required to contact the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services when they have reasonable cause to suspect that a child is a victim of abuse. To help prepare them for this responsibility, these reporters are required to complete a Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training and complete continuing education (CE) to maintain it.
The SEC Whistleblower Program
The SEC Whistleblower Program was created by Congress in 2011 as part of the Dodd-Frank Act, to provide monetary incentives to individuals who report potential federal securities law violations to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Whistleblower Program came on the heels of the 2008 financial crisis where investors lost billions in part due to unchecked practices at large firms and corporations.
