The Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act, signed into law on December 20, 2019, is the most sweeping set of changes to retirement plans and policies in over a decade. Most of the provisions of the SECURE Act went into effect on January 1, 2020, dramatically changing some elements of retirement planning.
